Last week Katherine took Harrison to the pumpkin patch in Mayflower, AR.
She came back with a pumpkin. . .
and a beagle.
Meet Daisy May(flower).
"Lucky is very not impressed," says Harrison.
Lucky looks addled, dishevelled and somewhat appalled here, rather like one's senile and alcoholic great uncle, who finds his neighbor at the dinner table to be rather beneath him.
Daisy doesn't seem to mind.
Breeding will always tell.

Posted by: Kyran Pittman on October 21, 2005 09:48 AMYou nailed Lucky on your description. We've all been calling him "old and grumpy." Poor guy. He really doesn't need this with all the other things he has on his mind.
Posted by: Red Chuck on October 21, 2005 10:22 AMLooks alot like my stray Bess. Distant cousins perhaps?
Posted by: Burt on October 21, 2005 11:53 AMI still say that Lucky is the second ugliest dog I ever seen.
"You no call him Lucky, you call him Shithead!"
Hey now! We no call him shithead. We heart Lucky dog.
Posted by: Red Chuck on October 24, 2005 09:18 AMKyran was concerned that I had offended you with my comments.
She didn't realize it was a quote from "The Jerk" with Steve Martin.
Even after I explained it to her, she didn't really get it.
